Freedom Festival Torchlight Parade

July 3, 6:30 p.m.

Torchlght Parade Benicia's Independence Day parade stretches all the way down First Street and includes music, dancers, floats, horses, clowns, and live entertainment.

Picnic in the Park & Fireworks

July 4th, 12 noon-7 p.m.

Picnic in the Park & Fireworks Benicia's City Park is filled with arts and crafts, delicious hot food, live entertainment, and children's activities. Fireworks start at approximately 9 p.m. at the foot of First Street

Benicia Fine Art & Jazz Festival

July 25 & 26, 2009.

The Carquinez Straits provide the picturesque backdrop for two days of live performances by top jazz musicians from the Bay Area and around the country, juried fine art marketplace, delectable gourmet food, refreshing wine and beer area, and an art activity area for children.

Farmers Market

Every Thursday through end of October, 4-8 p.m.

Benicia Main Street draws many people to its popular Farmers Market. The Market offers fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, gourmet food, delicious hot foods, arts and crafts, live musical entertainment, pony rides, face painting.

First Fridays on First

Every First Friday of the month, April through October, 6-9 p.m.

Touted as a great date night, follow the colorful flags down First Street where shops and restaurants offer festivities and prize drawings. A wide variety of musical styles by various bands can be enjoyed at different locations on First Street. An outdoor movie at dusk caps off the festivities.
