It's a Great Dog Day by the Bay
Benicia was ranked the 4th dog-friendliest city in the country by Dog Fancy Magazine in 2010. To celebrate this great honor Benicia Main Street will be hosting the 2nd Annual A Great Dog Day by the Bay, Saturday, August 27 from 10am - 2pm at the First Street Green on First Street and B Street.
Activities will include a dog disc competition, dog contest (ugliest dog, cutest dog and owner/dog look alike), doggie treats, demonstrations and much more! This event is free to the public, entry fee into the contest is $5 per dog and $1 per vote, so vote often! A portion of proceeds to benefit the Humane Society of the North Bay.
This year, Benicia Main Street is excited to team with the Disc Dogs of the Golden Gate, offering a dog disc competition called Disc Dogs By The Bay!
- Three divisions: Novice, Pro and Open
- Free to enter. Each competitor receives a free disc!
Registration starts at 9:30 AM
Competitor meeting at 10:20 AM to explain rules
